CONWAY Eddie Wayne Bowers, 45 of Dukes Road, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Conway Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1958 in Conway, he was a son of the late James Edgar and Ann Keith Bowers. Mr. Bowers was a local Marine Technical for 26 years, the cofounder of Boy Scout Troop #875, and current Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop #804. He attended the River of Life Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy Sawyer Bowers of Conway; two sons, Jamie Bowers and Jason Bowers, both of Conway; one daughter, Michele Cansler of Conway; one sister, Genive Johnson of Conway; and one grandson, Chandler James Bowers of Myrtle Beach.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherrod Barfield officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
